This Privacy Policy explains how HEEL Dog Training ("HEEL," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the HEEL Dog Training mobile application.
Information We Collect
Account information
If you create an account, we process information such as your email address, account identifier, and authentication records.
Dog profile and training information
We process information you provide about your dog and training, which may include your dog's name, breed or breed estimate, age, training experience, goals, behavioral challenges, quiz answers, recommended categories, lesson progress, session outcomes, notes, streaks, and achievements.
App events and sponsor interactions
We may record app events such as feature use, sponsor-banner impressions, sponsor-banner taps, placement or training category, timestamps, and an account identifier when you are signed in. We use this information to operate HEEL, improve the experience, measure sponsor placements, and detect reliability problems.
Subscription information
Premium purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. HEEL may receive product, purchase, and entitlement information needed to provide or restore Premium access. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
How We Use Information
- Personalize training plans and recommendations.
- Save lesson progress, outcomes, streaks, scores, and achievements.
- Sync eligible information across devices for signed-in users.
- Provide Premium access and promotional entitlements.
- Measure app performance and sponsor placement impressions and taps.
- Respond to support, privacy, safety, and account-deletion requests.
Service Providers and Sharing
HEEL uses service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Supabase: authentication, database records, eligible data sync, promotional access, and app events.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: subscription processing and purchase restoration.
- Expo and React Native services and libraries: application delivery and device features.
When you tap a sponsor link, you leave HEEL and the sponsor or destination website may process information under its own privacy policy. HEEL does not sell your personal information.
Device Features and Permissions
HEEL may request notification permission for training reminders. HEEL's clicker plays audio and does not require microphone recording permission. You can manage permissions in your device settings.
Data Retention
Local training data remains on your device until you reset it or remove the app. Account-linked information may remain in Supabase while your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide HEEL. When an account-deletion request is completed, associated account data is deleted unless limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or another legitimate purpose. Apple and Google retain purchase records under their own policies. De-identified or aggregated records that no longer identify you may be retained for analytics.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access controls and database security policies. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your Choices and Rights
You can change device permissions, reset local training information, sign out, or request deletion of your account and associated data. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information.

Children's Privacy
HEEL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as HEEL changes. The current version will remain available at this URL with a revised date.
